PRINCIPAL CONSULTANT

HON. JUSTICE ADENIYI S. ONIGBANJO (rtd) :

Upon being enrolled to practice law in Nigeria in 1983, apart from his various stints as retained External Solicitor/Legal Adviser to some Lagos based Primary Mortgage Institutions and Banks with responsibility for preparing, vetting and perfecting security documents fo banking transactions, Justice Onigbanjo was appointed a Notary Public for Nigeria in 1989 and extensively practiced as retained Company Secretary/Legal Adviser and personal legal adviser on personal family issues to various clients. Justice Onigbanjo also had vast experience in litigation at the various tiers of the state Courts as well as appellate Courts in Nigeria until his appointment in May 2004 as a High Court Judge in the Lagos State Judiciary which by any yardstick is easily the busiest and most vibrant judiciary in the Country and perhaps the whole of Africa.

During his Seventeen (17) years tenure as a High Court Judge, apart from various specialized trainings and exposure both locally and internationally in virtually all areas of the practice of Law, Justice Onigbanjo served as an ADR Judge and in the General Civil, Criminal, Commercial and Lands Divisions of the Lagos State Judiciary before his voluntary early retirement from the High Court bench effective 1st May, 2021.

Apart from his membership of the Judges' Forum of the International Bar Association, The Commonwealth Judges and Magistrates Association and International Society for the Reform of Criminal Law, Justice Onigbanjo is also a member of the International Dispute Resolution Institute (IDRI) and is presently recommended for the award of Fellowship of the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC).

ADETUNJI ONIGBANJO:

A 2010, Law graduate of Kwame Nkrumah University, Ghana, upon being called to the Nigerian Bar to practice Law in 2011, Adetunji briefly worked as an Associate in the Law firm of Banwo & Ighodalo from January 2013-August 2014 and then proceeded to the University of Nottingham, UK for his Postgraduate studies in Law between 2014-2015. After obtaining his LLM, Master of Laws degree specializing in Intellectual Property/ copyrights from the University of Nottingham in 2015, Adetunji worked as Counsel in the Law Firm of Tayo Oyetibo LP from February 2016 -December 2018 before joining us as a Senior Associate in January 2019. Over the years Adetunji has become proficient in intellectual property/Copyrights, litigation, drafting and review of documents as well as corporate law and practice.

ADENIKE IBRAHIM:

A 2013, Law graduate of Kwame Nkrumah University, Ghana, upon being called to the Nigerian Bar to practice Law, Adenike worked as an associate in the Law Firm of M.J ONIGBANJO & CO from January 2015 -December 2016 and thereafter was a Senior State Counsel with the Lagos State Ministry of Justice from January 2017-April 2019 before joining us as an Associate in May 2019. Over the years, Adenike has become proficient in Negotiation, ADR, Drafting, Sports and Entertainment Law
